Open lens up to F-Wide Open Focus Close lens down to F-Shooting apertureRecompose, because you took the camera away from your eye to do the aperturesetting..... Did anything or anyone move? Shoot Repeat Or.... Set aperture Focus in dim VF ( depends on light outside, and aperture set..... ) Shoot RepeatYes, others will tell you it is no problem.... but only you can tell foryourself if this situation is acceptable to you....... Your option is a R-whatever body plus film plus scanner....... Frank Filippone red735i@xxxxxxxxxxxxxHi Frank,I agree with all that you say above, especially the part about each photographer deciding on his own what is acceptable to his picture taking style. My on-hands experience is much more fulfilling than what you describe. I ain't going back to film for sure. ;-)
I've had a lot of personal experience with R lenses on Canon 20D, 5D, and the Oly E3... to my relative satifaction...though the Nikon D700 may offer some very significant advantages...hence my question Frank...
Thanks for your input Frank, and Howard....Frank, which of these combinations have you been using ?
thanks, Steve
Cheers Howard.
