David,

I find that it is the sensor. I have been using the Sigma along with
Panas and the Digilux 3 and find that the Sigma will always turn out
pictures with greater saturation than cameras with Bayer sensors in all
lighting conditions. Here ate a few examples all with R glass.

The matrix metering and white balance is not very reliable on the SD14.
Hopefully this will be fixed in future offerings from Sigma.
