You are right, why change? I don't think to change since the formula is stil the same.

Mine has a little mark on the front lens but it does show on the picture.

Xavier,

I have a series 7 version of the 3 cam 90 f/2 Summicron now, but I've also
had the later 55mm filter thread version, with 90 inscribed in the barrel, just
above the aperture ring and to tell you the truth, I could not see any
difference at all between the two. I have the older one because it's like my BMW 525i
1989 model, with 229000+ miles on it, it feels good and works perfectly, so
why give it up?
