Phil, All

I follow your analysis. The next R will probably more something based on the
"Four-Third".

But what is missing for now is a way to mount all the R lenses from the
Early SL or at least from the R3 mount.
So an adaptor with some electronic to command the diaphram system (step
motor for instance, it will make an ugly bulge on the side of the lens,
never mind) of the earlier mount.

The existing Digilux 3 is a good product if it was not for the Porro type
finder.

Only Pentax has kept the compatibilty with earlier mount and this is a real
good thing.

Now, the idea for the R10 is a 4/3 hybrid mount with a command for the
earlier R lens (and a way to use the ROM system).

I don't know if Sigma & Tamron would follow this hybrid mount.

If the R10 requires ROM mount R lenses, I'm ready to convert some of the
lenses I have.

FWIW.
