HI Doug! Nice shots... as always. Because of the detail extraction, over-sharpening and heavy cropping, your backgrounds are not as smooth as one might like. My solution to that problem is a program called "Neat Image". It's downloadable at http://www.neatimage.com/download.html and as the page says.. "The Demo edition of Neat Image is distributed as freeware for non-commercial use." It used to be that the only real restriction was that the free version would only save files as .jpg. If you pay them money ( I did), it will save them as .tiff, etc., as well. Not sure what the current deal is, but it's worth trying. Like Ted, I like the KISS system, and just use all the automagic settings it gives me... even though it allows you to tweak them all to heck. So far, it's never done me wrong! Give the free version a try... I think you'll be favourably impressed.
