To the guys who've been on my case to post some damned photos: If you
get bored this weekend, feel free to go to the Leica User's Gallery at:
http://gallery.leica-users.org/main.php?
g2_view=password.PasswordEntry&g2_itemId=58511
(sorry if you have to cut and paste the URL...)

Password to my Album is: rsphotoimages

Mostly R8 manual wind, some R9 motor drive with the R Elmarit 28-90
ASPH on Ilford HP5 or XP2 Super. Very minimal post-processing in
Photoshop Elements for Mac; adjust contrast for "as seen through the
viewfinder" and maybe some cropping. I'm not a big believer in putting
lipstick on my photos. If they're THAT bad, I trash them and try to
remember not to do that again next time I shoot.

These images were developed in commercial lab then scanned to CD. File
sizes run plus or minus 1.5 MB as JPEGs. I guess we can imagine a wet
lab print might look nicer.

The 28-90 has become my "on-camera, street lens". I really can't
complain about the f4.5 at 90mm zoom; with ASA 400 film it seems to be
about right. Sometimes I'll use the Ergo Rest "chest" tripod -
especially if I'm using the R9 with and the 70-180 APO. The Ergo Rest
is really helpful too if I'm also using the Motor Drive. I almost
never shot anything with the 70-180 without my Bogen tripod unless
there's lots and lots of light and I can take the shot at 360 or
faster.

Time permitting I'll add a few with the 70-180 APO and some color shots.

Thanks for nagging me to get some damned prints up on a page,
somewhere; you know who you are (a couple of well-known LReflex guys
out there...)!!!

Hope you all get to burn some film this weekend. I sure plan to.

Cheers.

Bob in Seattle
