OK ... last "kick at the cat", with regard to my recent tour of our local mine. There are two perks of the job, besides getting paid rather well. The first is that they feed us all a gourmet lunch of BBQ'd Pacific Salmon and Prime steak. The second is that the VIPs all get to go fishing on Trojan Pond. Trojan Pond is a man-made lake, in the old Bethlehem Copper Mine's unreclaimed tailings pile. It is a research facility, to understand more about how to properly reclaim land... and after many years of work, it is a fine "catch & release" fishing lake. The fish there have been tested, and have a lower mineral content than those caught in Logan Lake - which are perfectly edible. Me? I get my own boat and driver, and we scoot around the lake taking photos of the VIP's. (It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it!) Here's one lady, catching the first fish of her life. http://www.furnfeather.net/Temps/Joy.html Oly E3 w/50~200 zoom @ 200mm, 1/750th @ f6.8 - ISO 400.
