Hi Bill!

Any group of touring VIPs needs a group photo... nothing special about this one
except  the backdrop.  The "pickup"!

Like you, I thought it worked well.  It was helped by an overcast day.  Later,
the sky cleared and the harsh shadows made people pictures tough.

This "pickup" carries 240 tons of ore, per load.  The tires are taller than a
bus and cost US$50,000 each (there are six!).  Each "pickup" - more properly
called a "haul truck" - will set you back a modest 4.5 million dollars.

But these are the small trucks.  Although there are none on site, just yet,
they have six of the newer, 400 ton models on order!  These I want to see!

Sadly, no. But one of the Chinese VIP's did get to go for a short spin, in it!
