Hi Doug,
   Very nice images. I think that you pulled off some nice composing and 
framing with that r-e-a-l-l-y wide zoom. Oddly, I think the more closely zoomed 
3rd image's subtleties had a challenge trying to compete with the strong 
expansiveness presented in the first two frames. 
   Here in Michigan a nice warm summers day like in those images would feel 
just as good for us as it would for you in the Hannover area. 
Query: what are the exact particulars on that Tokina 12-24? Is it strictly a 
crop sensor lens or is it good for full frame too?

Just rediscovered these this morning - our car mechanic uses part of the 
barn as a repair workshop, the other building is a grain/feed store.

Technical details: Canon 20D, Tokina 12-24 Zoom, converted to BW in 
Lightroom 2.6.

Makes a change from snow :-)
