Thanks for the lesson! I sorta knew that, but I thought I'd post it
anyway, as so little is being posted these days. (While I was away, not one
single post!) We have the best part of 300 members and this is born out by
the numbers that view the images I post. (I use Statcounter to track the
where and the how many, but not the who.) But, almost none, other than the
half dozen or so "regulars", say anything, and even fewer post their images.
I figured it would enliven the list, even if folks only yelled at me. But,
other than the regulars, they're not doing that, either. :-(
Guys, gals, you don't learn photography by watching others succeed or fail.
You learn it by doing it. The successes or failures need to be your own.
We all learn from both.
So don't sit there like a bump on a log ... get out, take photos and post
the results where we can view them! So, they're not perfect. Nobody will
bite you. And you'll rapidly become a better photographer!
As Henri Cartier-Bresson famously said ... "Your first 10,000 photos are
your worst."
But we all learn from them! So, do it! If you wait until you can post
superb images, every time, chances are you'll never get there! But you
will, if you try!

This reminds me of the old days when I would go to a bar hoping to find a
girl, and to get a little buzz on. I was always successful at one, but
never both.
If you're shooting flowers, concentrate on the flowers. If you're shooting
buildings, do a great job on that. If flowers show up in the building
shot, good, they'll embellish, if a building shows in a flower shot, let
it help the flowers.
Free advice worth what you paid for it. -)

Yes... forgiveness is required, Ted. I had about 3 minutes. I took a
few other shots ... all laying on the grass, holding the camera at arms
length, into the tulip bed, while peering at the articulated screen. A
couple of the others, Aram, have more of the tulip & some stem... but are
not as well balanced, to my warped mind.
But, it was fun trying. Especially when the RCMP officer (they're
everywhere!) came over, fearing I was trampling the flowers.
I'll try to post one of the alternates, but none are up to the quality
that Aram and Sonny regularly provide...

Only thing I would have wished for is a bit more of the tulip blooms at
the
bottom. For me I think you cropped them a bit tight. But I like the
shot
and the idea you had envisioned.
