Thanks Philippe, Details, These are B&W negatives developed and scanned at my local Fuji lab using I believe one of their frontier machines. The + - expo compensation is as you described on the R7 but I never use it because it is quite awkward to manipulate. Easier to use manual mode and compensate via shutter speed.
just like me ;-)
Lens is fully closed down but I must admit that at times I have failed to reset after changing shooting modes, eg, from aperture priority back to program ... maybe that's the issue.
happened to me too, we could start a club ...
Technically not the same for the cell - one is vertical and right - probably because it takes the ground as a reference - the sky area is small in proportion of the ground/grass the other horizontal - light is measured with a gradation for the upper part of the frame (usually sky in horizontal mode) yet it takes here a much larger proportion of the measurement area I guess, hence slightly too dark , which may have affected the scanner readings tooHere are a couple sequential frames shooting the same scene. I'm pretty sure both were taken in program mode with the lens stopped down to min aperture ... but I can't be certain. using the + / - thing or going manual could then solve the pb - but this is just a guess

Hope this helps for a start though PhilippeAn after-thought, when shooting in programme mode, is your lense fully closed down?Walter Kramer wrote:Hello, I am getting some unpleasant exposure results with my R7 and I don't know if it is my inexperience or something to do with the camera. I use P mode often and maybe it's just not suitable where there is strong back light. The other possibility is that the leds on the right are displaying two aperture modes when I take the shot, eg, f2.8 and f4.0 lit up. The manual instructs to change the shutter speed dial until only one aperture reading displays, I have largely ignored this. Anyway I get two or three shots like this in a role and the only pattern I can see is the scene has bright lighting in the background. Here is an example. Maybe someone has experienced this, I'm hoping it is operator error. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2579/3944281840_8ff3f820bb_b.jpg------ Unsubscribe or change to/from Digest Mode at: http://www.lrflex.furnfeather.net/ Archives are at: //www.freelists.org/archives/leicareflex/
