Rose and I spent our weekend at a Vernon Craft Fair, attempting to peddle my wildlife photos. While we had some success (at least, we broke even!) the fair was very poorly attended, as the Ford Women's World Curling Championships were on, in the same town, just one block away. Everybody went to the curling... and nobody went to the fair! :-(
It left me with a lot to time to wander the halls, commiserate with other vendors and look for picture taking opportunities. There weren't many. However there was one lady with a parrot ... trying to get bookings for children's parties.... She wasn't faring any better than the rest of us, but the bird seemed fairly happy.
Lighting conditions were harsh, with an odd combination of flourescent, mercury vapor and daylight, with extreme contrast.
Here's what I managed, at ISO 800 - no sharpening, no noise reduction, but with lots of white balance fiddling in Silkypix!
