Hi Doug,
No it was "old bird brain himself!" ;-) Cameras I seem to do OK, computers, Ipods or other electronic items, installing little things like new software and simpler things of that nature, if there's anyway of screwing it up? I'm your guy! ;-)

Ah well - that explains it TMAX = Ted Made An XXXXXXX (word deleted for reasons of propriety) :-) These things should be left to 12-year olds, like programming VCRs ;-) which I never got the hang of. The "simpler" they made it (on screen with menus and stuff) the more problems I had getting it right. Son Florian, 11 at the time, had it done in seconds.
If you heard me trying to fathom my recently installed CS2 you'd learn a lot of German and North Yorkshire dialect expressions never heard in polite circles (directed at my own incompetence, at whoever programmed the thing and at anyone who happens to enter the room while I'm working it out - sons, cats, wives etc.)

I think big computer companies should hire me just to see how bad I can screw up installations no matter how easy they think it is. If there's anyone who can put it in the machine upside down or backwards.... piece of cake. :-) Let me at 'er! ;-)

My missus already has that job :-) first thing she does when we get something new is to throw away the packaging AND the handbook or manual. In a sane world this would be quite reasonable, things should work without having to refer to the book every 5 minutes.

Sonny suggested Brian can probably fix "tmax" next week. Or tell me how. That could be detrimental to my computer and me-life itself! ;-)
