Legal Rights of Sexual Assault Victims
In this webinar, the presenters will discuss the crime victim rights and legal
protections specific to victims of sexual assault. In addition to an overview
of rights and legal protections, the presenters will review the reparations
provisions specific to sexual assault victims, identify misconceptions about
rights afforded to these victims, highlight the victim data privacy and
confidentiality protections and the common issues that arise in criminal
prosecution, and suggest strategies for advocates to ensure that victims’
rights and privacy are protected.
