Back when they were breeding I saw immatures by that pond and adjacent fields
just north of Marsha Sharp, by the go-cart place. That land was always
private; but now it seems to be private, and posted, and fenced. If anyone has
access, it might be worth a look.

We followed Jim’s and Peter’s reports and found the Townsend’s warbler and
rose breasted grosbeak at TTUHSC, then a Harris’s hawk north of 4th St on
Quaker where it curves and runs into Texas Tech Parkway. We drove those roads
a few times before we found it. It seems to be perching on the ground or in
the mesquite, because it flew up, circled around, and flew back down and we
couldn’t find it after that. There are also a lot of dark morph and light
morph red tails in that area.
