On 8-28-21 and 8-30-21, there was a great egret sitting on the drainage brick
apparatus at Miller Park (South Loop 289 & Memphis Avenue) ..as I walked along
the south side of the lake, it never flew off, just turned one way & another as
if waiting for the perfect photo shot of it...I usually walk 6 days a week and
go by Miller Lake and Andrews Lake and nearly always see at least one great
egret at Miller, but less often at Andrews. Andrews does have a good flock of
the big Canada Geese right now. Pat Jury
