Went to Lake 6 and Aztlan Park after work yesterday and birded and butterflies
for about 41/2 hours. In addition to the expected species, I found the
following migrants, FOSs, and highlights. Not much of interest on the drive
through the lakes from one location to the other.
Lake 6
In addition to the identified species, a buteo between the spillway and trestle
looked extremely short tailed and broad winged before it disappeared behind the
trees. An accipiter downstream was too backlit to ID and disappeared before I
could get binoculars on it.
