Reminder, we will be meeting at the old First National Bank parking lot in
Wilson TX at 8:00am in the morning to caravan to Tahoka Lake Pasture for a
bird walk guided by LEAS member Manuel De Leon. The bird walk will commence
by 8:30am.
The physical address is 2000 Green Avenue, Wilson TX.
There is also a trash cleanup at Leroy Elmore Park tomorrow from 10:00am -
1:00pm (come and go as needed). This cleanup is in conjunction with the South
Plains Texas Master Naturalist organization and a local gym volunteering for
this community service project. Anyone interested is invited to participate.
All supplies including trash bags, gloves, grabbers and safety vests will be
provided. It’s a good time to make things better for the birds there while
the lake is low. Come out if interested.
For both events, masks and social distancing will be enforced.
