Dear Friends,
Next Sunday, we will have our year end Meeting for Business Held in the
Spirit of Worship. I am attaching the agenda, November's minutes
(previously shared) and a proposed minute on audio streaming meetings for
worship from Ministry and Worship and Communications. If you have any
concerns or questions about this minute, please be in touch with Doug Smith
or others on the committees.
Nominating presented the list of people to serve on committees in November
(attached) and it has been held over for this month's Business Meeting.
Again, if you have questions or concerns, please contact Ann Delorey or
other committee members.
Finally, we will review the memorial minute for Roy Clark that Ministry and
Worship is preparing and the biannual report of the Working Group on
Racism. Both will be shared when ready.
If there is other business we need to consider, please contact me soon.
The queries for this month relate to simplicity and celebrating Christmas
from New England Yearly Meeting.
- In this time of commercialism, how do you reflect values of simplicity?
- In what ways do you and your family reflect on the significance of
Jesus' life and his teachings regarding simplicity?
- Is your gift giving in line with these values?
- Have you been able to find rituals that enhance the experience of the
Inner Light?
