Dear Friends,
At our June Meeting for Businessthe Meeting approved a trial return to
in-person Sunday worship, beginning June20. Friends who do not feel ready
toreturn to in-person worship are welcome to attend our Zoom Meetings
forWorship, which will continue (at least) through the summer. For this
firsttrial, the in-person worship will be entirely separate from Zoom worship.
The question arose at Meeting forBusiness whether childcare would be provided
during this trial. We are workingon that and we will let you know as soon as we
have a definitive answer
In keeping with CDC and VA Department of Health guidelines,Friends who are
fully vaccinated are welcome to worship in-person without masksand without
social distancing.
Ours is a trusting and caringcommunity. We expect that every person will take
responsibility for their ownhealth and act responsibly toward others. There are
three ways to protect yourselfand others: 1) if you are able, get vaccinated,
2) if you are unable to getvaccinated or are at increased risk, wear a mask, 3)
if you are sick, experiencing covid-related symptoms,[*] ordo not feel
comfortable being in a mask-less public setting, join us for Zoomworship from
home. Friends must understand that all social settings present some riskand
that by attending in-person Meeting for Worship they do so at their ownrisk.
Prior to entering the meetinghouse, Friends will be given theinformation
contained in this announcement. You will not be asked about yourvaccination
status.
A section of the meeting room will be designated for Friends who,for any
reason, wish to wear masks and maintain social distance. Friends wishingto sit
in this section may enter the meetinghouse through the entrance under the
belfry.
For at least our first few post-covidin-person meetings, Friends will be asked
to provide their names and contactinformation, in case contact tracing is
required. Please plan to come a littleearly as this process may take a few
minutes.
In order to be sure we will haveroom for everyone who wants to attend this
in-person trial, we request thatFriends let us know if they plan to come and if
they will want to sit in themasked and socially-distanced part of the meeting
room. Please contact eitherRebecca Rawls (Rebecca.rawsl@xxxxxxxxxxx) or Frank
Taylor (ftaylor4645@xxxxxxxxx) by Friday if you plan to attend.
