At our June Meeting for Business the Meeting approved a trial return to
in-person Sunday worship, beginning June 20. Friends who do not feel ready
to return to in-person worship are welcome to attend our Zoom Meetings for
Worship, which will continue (at least) through the summer. For this first

The question arose at Meeting for Business whether childcare would be
provided during this trial. We are working on that and we will let you know

In keeping with CDC and VA Department of Health guidelines, Friends who
are fully vaccinated are welcome to worship in-person without masks and
without social distancing.
Ours is a trusting and caring community. We expect that every person will
take responsibility for their own health and act responsibly toward others.
There are three ways to protect yourself and others: 1) if you are able,
get vaccinated, 2) if you are unable to get vaccinated or are at increased
risk, wear a mask, 3) if you are sick, experiencing covid-related symptoms,
[*] or do not feel comfortable being in a mask-less public setting, join
us for Zoom worship from home. Friends must understand that all social
settings present some risk and that by attending in-person Meeting for
Worship they do so at their own risk.
Prior to entering the meetinghouse, Friends will be given the information
contained in this announcement. You will not be asked about your
vaccination status.
A section of the meeting room will be designated for Friends who, for any
reason, wish to wear masks and maintain social distance. Friends wishing to
sit in this section may enter the meetinghouse through the entrance under
the belfry.
For at least our first few post-covid in-person meetings, Friends will be
asked to provide their names and contact information, in case contact
tracing is required. Please plan to come a little early as this process may
take a few minutes.
*In order to be sure we will have room for everyone who wants to attend
this in-person trial, we request that Friends let us know if they plan to
come and if they will want to sit in the masked and socially-distanced part
