On 5/10 I found 2 purple martins up in a big clearcut NNW of Hult Pond,
east of Prairie Mt., near the Benton County line. I see very few e-bird reports
of them for the Coast Range though I know it is not well-birded. They were
flying around a big slash pile and then took off. I wasn't able to track them
and see if they might have found a snag to nest in.
