FWIW, Check you sound card.  If you can verify that midi data can get
through to the unit (see the midi light on front of the unit blink), then
you should be able to use the sound cards ports.

I have installed the PC I/F driver and everything is just working
fine.
I just wonder, why it's so difficult to work the "old fashioned
way": using the soundcard's MIDI interface instead of the PC I/F
driver...
So far, there is no problem for me. But a few weeks ago, I used
an obsolete version of the PC I/F driver which looked very much
like a VERY early Win95 driver in beta phase. And this one
crashed all the time...
Recently, I found the newest version at Korgypark and after
installation all those troubles were gone!
So my soundcard MIDI I/O problem is just a tricky bug, that I
would like to understand. :-)
