By the sound of things, you don't have a lot to loose!

How about carefully taking the thing to pieces, mopping up as much water
as you can and leave the parts to dry in a warm room befor re-assembly. 
I would not recommend the hair drier approach unless you have access to
one with a low heat setting.  Some electronic components change
characteristic permanently if heated much.
