Seems the under 40k is for the EPA rated of 230 miles. I think the 300 mile is
the 55k one but I also say up to a 90k one so I can't quit remember. I think
the 400lb payload of the frunk is what the take away was (no idea what other EV
are but it seemed like a lot and the suckered is huge). I also didn't see
anything yet about fast charging but I belive 19.2kW charging (though I think
that is from using two charging ports???). I need to see more details but I
will say for their first EV truck they did well enough with it to turn some
heads away from Rivian. The price of the commercial one (40k) will satisfy
most. Still keeping my Cybertruck preorder though.....Sent from my T-Mobile 4G

Ford Lightening More flash, than substance! (Susan); Underwhelming! (Jack). As I
always say: "We'll see!" Rivian is making promises, but they seem a bit more
solid & of course, there's always the Cybertruck with Elon. Someone told me
recently that they thought Elon was a bit quirky. And I thought THAT was an
understatement! And Lordstown Motors?Anyway, back to Ford. They talked about
the frunk & the battery stability (due to it being low), like they were both
new. Really? Well, I guess if you've had your head up your backside with EVs,
then, yeah it's new! And 300 extended range miles? Hmm, Rivian's is 400 &
Cybertruck is 500, also extended range. Jack mentioned a plus in the frunk in
that the front is dropped down for easier lifting of (heavy) items to put in.
A comparatively low lift, more like the trunk of a car. Also, it IS better
than it's ICE counterpart.Dimensions were flashed on screen (some) & a cost of
under $40,000, but for what range & when will that one be available? They said
something about April next year (what model & what cost?). Well, we'll see,
but I'm not putting my $100.00 down.It will be another choice in the EV world
though.Susan
