More flash, than substance! (Susan); Underwhelming! (Jack).
As I always say: "We'll see!" Rivian is making promises, but they seem a
bit more solid & of course, there's always the Cybertruck with Elon.
Someone told me recently that they thought Elon was a bit quirky. And I
thought THAT was an understatement! And Lordstown Motors?
Anyway, back to Ford. They talked about the frunk & the battery stability
(due to it being low), like they were both new. Really? Well, I guess if
you've had your head up your backside with EVs, then, yeah it's new! And
300 extended range miles? Hmm, Rivian's is 400 & Cybertruck is 500, also
extended range.
Jack mentioned a plus in the frunk in that the front is dropped down for
easier lifting of (heavy) items to put in. A comparatively low lift, more
like the trunk of a car. Also, it IS better than it's ICE counterpart.
Dimensions were flashed on screen (some) & a cost of under $40,000, but for
what range & when will that one be available? They said something
about April next year (what model & what cost?). Well, we'll see, but I'm
not putting my $100.00 down.
It will be another choice in the EV world though.
