Fred, I would not say that "things got so bad" with America...just like in any
band ( Beatles/Klaatu included),or in an job , members come and go for many
reasons.
As for America, there was some personal issues between Dan and Gerry , Gerry
had an ego the size of Uranus , but was certainly no friend of mine like Anus
of Uranus was...Gerry wanted the band to be called "Gerry and America"...plus
the situation of Dan turning his life over to Jesus , and he lost his desire to
tour or play live.
Don't get it wrong , Dan is happy for Gerry and Dewey's ability to tour for 40
years now....but he rarely speaks to them.
