Hyundai im dritten Quartal erneut mit Gewinnrückgang
Der Überschuss von Hyundai ist im dritten Quartal 2016 im Jahresvergleich um
7,2 Prozent auf knapp 1,12 Billionen Won (907 Millionen Euro) zurückgegangen,
wie der Hersteller mitteilte. Der Umsatz sank um 5,7 Prozent auf rund 22,1

PSA schwächelt beim Umsatz
Der Umsatz der Groupe PSA ist im dritten Quartal um 5,1 Prozent auf 11,4
Milliarden Euro gefallen. Als Gründe nannte der Hersteller den geringen Absatz
in China und negative Wechselkurseffekte. Zudem warteten die Autokäufer in
Europa auf neue Modelle der Marke. Das Unternehmen bleibt jedoch bei seinem
mittelfristigen Ziel, den Umsatz bis 2018 gegenüber dem Niveau von 2015 um zehn

GM verringert Q3-Verlust in Europa, leidet aber unter Brexit
General Motors hat seinen Nettogewinn im dritten Quartal des Jahres auf die
Rekordsumme von 2,77 Milliarden Dollar mehr als verdoppelt, wie der
Autohersteller mitteilte. Der vierteljährliche Verlust in Europa konnte zwar
reduziert werden, dennoch warnte GM, dass es eine große Herausforderung sei,

Borgward will wieder Autos in Deutschland bauen
Die Borgward Group will Medienberichten zufolge ein Montagewerk in Bremen für
den sportlichen Geländewagen bauen, den das Unternehmen zurzeit in China
produziert. Bis zu 10.000 elektrische Borgward-Fahrzeuge könnten dort pro Jahr
gefertigt werden. Es wäre die erste Autoproduktion, die hierzulande errichtet
wird, seit BMW und Porsche vor mehr als zehn Jahren in Leipzig neue Werke

Altran übernimmt Swell
Der französische Entwicklungsdienstleister Altran hat den
Engineering-Spezialisten Swell übernommen und will damit sein Angebotsspektrum
in Deutschland stärken. Zu den Kunden von Swell gehören unter anderem Skoda
sowie die Zulieferer Bosch, Continental, Magna und Honeywell. Die Genehmigung

Der Karten-Spezialist Here ist eine Partnerschaft mit Alibaba eingegangen, um

Hyundai Motor posts another profit decline in Q3
South-Korean automaker Hyundai posted a profit of 1.12 billion won (907 million
euros) for the third quarter, down 7.2 percent over the same period a year ago.
Revenues fell 5.7 percent to 22.1 billion won, the company said. The

PSA with weaker sales
Groupe PSA said its revenue declined 5.1 percent to 11.4 billion euros in the
third quarter, citing low sales in China and negative exchange rate effects.
Moreover, consumers in Europe are waiting for new models of the brand, the

General Motors announced that its net income more than doubled to a record 2.77
billion dollars in the third quarter. The automaker narrowed its quarterly loss
in Europe but warned that achieving its target to break even in Europe this
year would be "very challenging" after the UK's vote to quit the EU. GM posted
record revenues of 42.8 billion dollars, up 10 percent from a year ago.

Borgward plans to build cars in Germany again
German automaker Borgward plans to build an assembly plant in Bremen for the
sports SUV that the company is currently producing in China, according to media
reports. The new site could have an annual capacity of 10,000 electric Borgward
vehicles. It would be the first car plant built in Germany since BMW and
Porsche erected new factories in Leipzig more than ten years ago. (dpa -

Altran to acquire Swell
French development service provider Altran has agreed to acquire engineering
specialist Swell in a bid to strengthen its portfolio in Germany. Swell's
customers include Skoda as well as the suppliers Bosch, Continental, Magna and
Honeywell, among others. The deal is still subject to antitrust scrutiny.
