Toyota ruft 2,9 Millionen Fahrzeuge zurück
Toyota hat angekündigt, rund 2,9 Millionen Fahrzeuge in Japan, China, Ozeanien
und anderen Regionen zurückzurufen. Grund dafür sind potentiell fehlerhafte
Airbag-Inflatoren. Fuji Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi und der Lkw-Bauer Hino
Motors mussten bereits insgesamt 240.000 Fahrzeuge auf dem heimischen Markt
zurückrufen, weil Inflatoren des japanischen Zulieferers Takata hätten

Audi und Mercedes: Rückruf in China
Mercedes-Benz und Audi beordern in China beinahe eine Million Fahrzeuge in die
Werkstätten. Nach Angaben der chinesischen Qualitätsaufsichtsbehörde AQSIQ sind
bei Mercedes 398.500 Fahrzeuge betroffen, bei Audi 572.400 Einheiten. Das
Problem bei Mercedes sei eine mögliche Überhitzung der Zündschaltung und eine
damit verbundene Brandgefahr unter extremen Bedingungen, so die Behörde. Bei
Audi könnten Probleme durch ein mögliches undichtes Sonnendach auftreten.

Rückrufe wirken sich auf Fords Ergebnis aus
Ford wird nach eigenen Angaben beim Ergebnis für das erste Quartal ein Minus
von 295 Millionen Dollar verbuchen. Das liegt an zwei Rückrufen in Nordamerika,
die der Autobauer am 29. März bekannt gab. Bei einem der Rückrufe geht es um
Motoren, die Feuer fangen könnten, bei dem anderen um ein anhaltendes
Türverriegelungsproblem. Das Unternehmen weiß von 29 Berichten über Feuer in

CATL kommt nach Deutschland
Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL), einer der führenden Produzenten von

Caterpillar bestätigt Schließung von belgischem Werk
Caterpillar hat den belgischen Behörden bestätigt, sein Werk in Gosselies
schließen zu wollen. Die Schließung wird zur kollektiven Entlassung von etwa

Toyota recalls 2.9 million vehicles
Toyota Motor on March 30 said it is recalling a total of about 2.9 million
vehicles in Japan, China, Oceania and other regions because of potentially
faulty airbag inflators. Fuji Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Motors and truck

Mercedes-Benz and Audi are recalling almost a million vehicles in China. The

Caterpillar confirms closure of Belgian plant
Caterpillar has confirmed to the Belgian authorities that it plans to go ahead
with the closure of its Gosselies factory, which will lead to the collective
dismissal of about 2,000 staff members. Production operations are expected to
end by the middle of this year, while phasing out of other operations and
functions is expected to continue to the end of 2017.
