We are scheduled now to have a meeting with the two boards on the 5th at
6PM. Hopefully everyone is able to come to an agreement so this can move
forward. At this time they are over 128 hours out of service. This is not
good at all for all the outlying ambulances having to cover this ASA.

2 week check in on the progress of merging with Bonanza Ambulance, since
the Ambulance Advisory meeting on the 7th.
On the 9th, we met with Olivia, the board president and with Danise, the
treasurer, to go over some things on what would need to be done to get this
underway. We have requested the MOU and a meeting between the two boards.
On the 14th, we met with Chief Cook and Brandon Fowler to further go over
everything that would need to be done. The MOU, or AGI 190 would be the
first thing needed to be put into place before we will proceed any further.
At the Fire Defense Board meeting, Leon mentioned that other departments,
such as Basin and Bonanza Fire were still considering a merge.
On the afternoon of the 16th, I received a call from Olivia saying that the
board has decided to hold off to make sure there wasn't any other offers.
I have sent an email to SDAO on obtaining any further information on how to
proceed.
At this time, we are going to proceed with what we can do until they decide
how they wish to proceed. It is truly unacceptable for this ambulance
service to be out of service so much. Calls are being missed, peoples lives
are being jeopardized and this is missed revenue for this service. Without
that revenue, the service is bound to fail, no matter who takes it over.
