Perhaps something as simple as a pushbutton on the steering wheel for PTT that 
is detachable with a hands free mic.

Further to my previous e-mail, maybe RAC should conduct a laboratory experiment 
to show the level of distraction of someone trying to operate a hands-free 
system compared with using a PTT system.

Perhaps a good system for amateur radio would be a permanently mounted mic just 
above your head, activated by a push bar (push for on, push again for off) just 
like Echolink uses the space bar. I think that would be the least distracting 
of all.
