  Rob

In your 12 years at University you obviously skipped some classes somewhere.
It wasn't the technical stuff you skipped I am sure. Maybe you should go back
and see what you missed and maybe you can retake them and learn how to get
along with your fellow humans. For humanity's sake please don't become a
plumber.

I, for one, appreciated Steve's helpful suggestions. I have often been in
similar situations with computers and have been rescued by Steve. Thank you
Steve !

Apparently I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to computers or
electronics so I'll keep my solutions to myself from now on!
Seems there is always someone who knows better.

You go Steve the guru of everything hehe :O)

Don't flame me as i'm only joking around.

  Robert
  12years or University wasted :O(
  I know nothing.
I should have been a plumber.

  Hi Bill:

Before you spend a lot of time running antivirus and antispyware programs,
try the suggestion here first and see if it solves your problem.
  http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Talk/thread?tid=35a36f6cc290b875&hl=en

As far as free software is concerned, I have found that Avast does a better
job of checking for both antivirus and spyware than AVG. Also, to their credit,
Microsoft has improved Windows Defender a lot since building it into Vista and
Windows 7. If you're running XP, install it. It too is free.

I personally don't use free antispyware and antivirus software. I use Eset
NOD32, which, as their ad says, "is the best antivirus and antispyware software
you've probably never heard of". It just works and it doesn't slow down your
machine at all.

  Cheers & 73s,
