You beat me to it, Bill. I have talked to Barry VE3ISX about the
requirements for using a HF remote station on a number of occasions and he
has always maintained the view that operators must have Advanced licenses. I
also reviewed the regs and I agree with Chip's interpretation. I also think
that the privilege of operating a remote HF station applies to Advanced
Amateurs holding Canadian licenses. I don't believe their operations are
covered by our 3rd party agreements.
