Hi All,
Now that I am 'officially' a member of KARC again (yes Steve, I gave my dues
to David on Sunday....hi) might I suggest a TNC-X kit build. Nice little
TNC that works stand alone for APRS or as a Digi or just as a KISS mode TNC
in the shack. USB powered or 12 VDC supply and has a GPS port as well as a
Comm port. Depends on which daughter board you buy it sells for about
$60.00 to $100 (http://tnc-x.com/). This would be a good way to get active
in the digital world and able to send and receive 'real' emails over ham
radio on the WL2K system (VE3GWS-10 on 145.07 MHz.).
