Hello Rob,
My preferences would be:
1. Put a password on the archives.
2. Ask those list members for whom you only have an e-mail address for their
name and callsign.
3. Provide a list of list members (name and callsign, no e-mail address).
4. Members sign their posts with their name and callsign. This is a common
courtesy.
5. Future members introduce themselves when they join the list.
I think this will make the list a friendlier place where members may be more
inclined to participate and share ideas, hints, links, suggestions, and
generally a more useful and community-spirited list.
