Hi guys!
If we are to submit the proposa on Monday we have to agree which
organizations have the expertise to be the Most Responsible Persons for
each trainings. I thought it over again and thought it would be
interesting if every training was organized by one European and one
outside-european organization. In that way the intercultural
collaboration would be maximized. What you think about that?
So far I only received suggestions from Jessi, Tijana, Anja and Kasia.
Basing on that I have drafted how it could look like:
*1. Effective Communication Techniques in an International Context for
grassroot non-profits -
MRP 1: Kasia, Foundation Institute for Socio-Economic Balance, Poland
MRP 2: Anja, Bats in Action Brasil
*- internal communications: as a tool for increasing core efficiency of
organization
- external communications: developing good stakeholder relations through
the exchange of information and networking
- Does and Don’ts of office communications through latest inclusive and
online tools (available in low-internet areas)
*2. Publicity and Effective fundraising for small grass root NGOs -
MRP 1: Tomek&Tijana, SolidarityFilmDoc, Poland
MRP 2: Tiffany, David, Jyothirgamaya, India*
- Creating a publicity strategy: Who does the organisation want to reach
and what it wants them to know? (publicity documents, branding, events,
media, joining networks)
- Developing a realistic Fundraising plan, fundraising strategies
(grants/income generation/user charges/individual donations/corporate
giving)
*3. Volunteering -**
MRP 1: **Views International, Belgium
***MRP 2: Yoshimi, Always Reading Caravan, Thailand**
- how to use the potential of offline and online volunteering to address
gaps of the NGO in a sustainable way
- Using EVS as a tool for engaging international volunteers and
guidelines for proper hosting and coordination of EVS activities
- Writing EVS applications and understanding all procedural measures in
the application process
- opportunities and threats of involving local and international
volunteers in activities of the NGO
*4. Peer Support -
MRP 1: Jessica, German Federation of the B**lind, Germany
MRP 2: Samuel Odwar, Thumbs Up, Uganda
*Through experiential learning Youth workers learn how to work with
their peers:
- examining assumptions about who they are, and explore ways to create
mutual relationships in which power is negotiated, co-learning is
possible, and support goes beyond traditional notions of “service.”
- reviewing the intangible: strategy and structure, ownership&
commitment of particular activities of the organization
- use individual action plans, active listening, recovery focussed
language and approaches, problem solving, boundaries, ethical issues,
challenging situations and working in groups. 5. Curriculum development
for stationery and online transversal skills trainings for youth workers
(including formal recognition)
*5. how to prepare educative training content teaching IT, civic and
entrepreneurship skills
MRP 1: Tijana, Tomek , SolidarityFilmDoc Poland
MRP 2: Tiffany, David, Jyothirgamaya India*
- Using European best practices of Youth organizations Public Private
Partnerships + recognition of qualifications (Youth pass) to teach how
to involve public institutions: educational, governments but also
companies in transversal skill acquisition programmes
*6.Disability related / Equal opportunities etc –* *(I added this one as
most of the partners work with youth with disabilities, mostly visually
impaired)
MRP 1: Yoshimi, Always Reading Caravan Thailand
MRP 2: Views International, Belgium
*
Let me know if you feel comfortable with it! If you do please adjust the
programme of the trainings especially the Disability related/Equal
Opportunities
best regards
Tomek
