I'd assumed the onboard sound would be pretty punk but it was really quite 
decent - for speech anyway. I'm not it is that good across the whole audio 
spectrum.

Onboard sound is a feature of a lot of mobos these days. With lower fi 
hearing I stick with it, although I've read quite a few forum reports 
that it slows down FSX, because of its increased demand on processor 
time, cf a Soundblaster, say.
