Gerry -

There IS a setting in FSUIPC to limit wind speed below a settable altitude.
After changing it you may have to restart FSX to activate the change.

That was very enjoable, from Fairoaks to Fenlands, via OCK, then
Rochester and Earls Colne, to keep out of controlled airspace. The first
bit had to be below 800', which made it busy!
To get to the point(s), both of these small fields are worth having. On
the way I detoured to Cambridge, since I found the tow fields whilst
downloading the three Cambridge Autogen sets. It's a pleasant surprise
to find AG has little impact on FSX, though today's clouds and Heathrow
area AI definitely do. The Cambridge AG fits excellently with the GenX
scenery, including some of the college buildings and lots of rural and
urban housing, as well as trees.

The only fly in the ointment was the wind effect. At Fenland I needed
the lenghth of rwy 18, which was going to result in a 24 kts crosswind.
On finals it really looked good, with the runway nicely aligned.......in
the left hand monitor of the THTG setup. I was all hyped up to kich it
straight at touchdown, only to find the displayed crosswind just wasn't
being felt below about 500'. Is this something controlled by FSUIPC?
