xm radio is satellite radio, and it does stream online. You must be a subscriber to access the streams though, and it costs $12.95. visit
http://xmradio.com to find out more.

hi. this is from the JAWS help topics.

To assign a custom label to an element or change a custom label already assigned to an element, do the following:
List of 2 items
1. Move to the element you want to label. You can use the TAB key, standard JAWS reading commands, or a list of elements.
2. Press INSERT+F2, select "Custom Label," and press ENTER.
list end

Tip: You can also press CTRL+INSERT+TAB to create a custom label for the current element.
List of 1 items
3. Type the text you want to use for the label and press ENTER.
list end

JAWS reads the new custom label each time you encounter this element. In addition, JAWS displays the custom label instead of the original identifying text
when the element appears in JAWS lists. However, if you use INSERT+Z to turn off the virtual cursor, your custom labels will not be available.

Deleting a Custom Label

To delete a custom label, do the following:
List of 2 items
1. Move to the element with the label you want to delete. You can use the TAB key, standard JAWS reading commands, or a list of elements.
2. Press INSERT+F2, select "Custom Label Delete," and press ENTER.
list end

To delete all custom labels on a page, do the following:
List of 2 items
1. Go to the Web page containing the labels you want to delete.
2. Press INSERT+F2, select "Custom Label Delete All," and press ENTER.
list end

Hope that helps.

Hi Chris. Never thought about creating custom labels for XM. Can you give exact instructions on how to create custom labels or else tell me where it is in jaws to get the directions. Any help is appreciated.

hi. you don't even need to use the mouse cursor for the online version.
here's what I do.
1. visit
http://listen.xmradio.com
and log in.
2. I've created custom labels so the fields speak properly.
The first is for your user name, the second is for your password. so i enter those and click the go button. I also created a label for that because it was a bit chatty.
3. On the page that comes up you have a few frames and links. the one you want to pay attention to is xm channels.
4. press that and a new browser window opens. This is the xm radio player.
5. If you know the channel number you want to listen to, simply enter it in the quick tune edit box and press the button and the station loads. If you don't like how your music is sounding, you can also go into the options which is also located on the main screen. You can get a list of channels, find out what's playing and all kinds of other stuff. but again, the JAWS cursor isn't needed for this at all. All this is done using standard methods of JAWS use with the pc cursor active all the time.

I did get it to work by moving the jaws curser around and hitting the left mouse button but the pc curser does not see anything. If anyone is interested when you bring up the tuner click on the number such as channel 60. and it will come up.
