windows media problem

Hi, I am using windows media player 10, and would appreciate some help as to
any settings I should or should not set for this program. I can't get my CD
player to read the artist name and track listing etc. when I insert a CD. If
someone could help me with that sure would appreciate it. Am using cdex for
extracting files and file conversion not sure if that has any influence on
reading information from the CD or not. Thanks to listers for any help.
