upgrading adobe reader?

Hello list,
I'm currently using Adobe Reader 7 and was considering upgrading, but
thought I'd ask first if it would even be worth it. I've been able to use it
well enough, but thought maybe going up to version 9 or whatever the current
release is may provide better performance. I'm also using JFW 10. The latest
build.
If the difference is minimal, than I gues I'd rather just stay with the one
I'm using now.
Anyway, any advice or observations would be appreciated.
