why not just open the extract dialog and browse for the enu folder and
extract them right in to it.

G'day All,

This TSN is on the Jaws support site. I assume it will have been made
redundant in the latest update of version 5 but thought it might still apply
in some cases.

Cheers, Steve

Extract from Jaws site follows:

Details of Selected Bulletin

Bulletin Type: TSN Number: 17842

Date Posted: 11/20/2003

Product Name: JAWS for Windows

Version: 5.0

Category: Outlook Express

Short Description:

When checking spelling in Outlook Express 5 & 6, JAWS does not speak all the
functions.

Problem:

When you check your spelling in Outlook Express 5 & 6, JAWS usually reads
the first misspelled word correctly. However, JAWS does not read subsequent
misspelled
words or suggestions. Also, JAWS does not speak ALT+G, ALT+A, ALT+I, ALT+L,
ALT+C, and ENTER. This is more apparent in computers with processors that
run
at a speed of 500 MHz or less.

Solution:

Outlook Express scripts are available to fix this problem. To get these
scripts, download the file 17842spell.zip from the following URL:

ftp://ftp.freedomscientific.com/users/hj/private/WebFiles/17842spell.zip

Perform the following to use these new scripts with JAWS:

1. Download and save 17842spell.zip to a folder on your computer that is
easy for you to access. You will need a utility like WinZip to extract the
files
from the .zip file.
2. Extract the contents of the file. The files contained in the archive are
named Outlook Express 5-6.jkm,
Outlook Express 5-6.jss, and Outlook Express 5-6.jsb.
3. Select these three files and press CTRL+C to copy them to the Clipboard.
4. Open Windows Explorer and go to the folder C:\JAWS50\Settings\ENU.
5. Press CTRL+V to paste the new files into the ENU folder. When Windows
asks if you want to replace the existing files, choose Yes.
6. Quit and then restart JAWS.
