Hi Dave I think mentioning the tab key put me on the right place. I made some changes now and shall check out what happens tomorrow. Thanks so long. Try the menus. One of them will allow you to change a lot of the settings, including the scheduled scan. Not in front of an AVG computer right now, so can't check. Most of the menu items and dialogs are accessible using JAWS and the tab key. Hi Alice I think what you proposed, might help. I managed to have a look within the AVG user interface (hope that was the right place or that I have the correct name) and I could not find a setting to switch the daily scans off or change the time. I am going to try your suggestion. Thanks. I'm not sure my solution will be what you are looking for, but what I do is this. If I'm trying to do something and the scans are running, I shut them down from the system tray. It enables me to get things done, and the scans will run again the following day at the same time, unless I turn them off again! Dear All I am using the latest version of Jaws 10 and Vista Business. I have AVG 8.5 Free edition. Could somebody give me good instructions how and where to switch off the daily automatic AVG scans + where and how to manually run the scans then in future. Alternatively - I assume one can set the AVG scanning for once a week or so? Where and how does one do this? Thanks. Renette _____ No virus found in this incoming message.
