I don't think that works for the 2004 versions and up.  Not positive but I
think they reworked their registration scheme.

Hi Guys!!
A little known fact with the early norton programs is that all you have
to do is uninstall and reinstall them.  Then just re-register and
download the new updates.  The only catch is that you have to do it
prior to your subscription actually running out.
