Hi Pete,
Try this:
When you are in the directory of mp3 files, go to the view menu, and make
sure, status bar, is checked
If it is not checked, while it is highlighted, press enter.
This should check it, and it has to be checked, or Jaws will not read it
with, insert 3.
This is a Windows setting, not Jaws.
If for some reason this does not work, then go back into the view menu, and
select details, and press enter.
This will allow Jaws to read more imformation about each file as you
highlight it.
