I think trouble is on the right track. Be sure you have done a dfrag so
all of the available space is useable. A lot of disk activity will kill
you. Again, how much RAM do you have? CYS...

I thought about your problem for a wile, and came up with this check and

see how much stuff you got running in the background. If a lot with jaws

will make the chip work over time witch causes heat, and also check how 
much space on that hardrive is left. If made to do a lot of cashing
chips 
will get hot.
