The AT&T natural voices are a separate software Synthesizer that comply
with the SAPI 5 speech standard.
The cheapest place I have found for them, is http://www.nextup.com
When purchasing from nextup, you must choose the AT&T voices as part of
your purchase of one of their other products. Nextup produces TextAloud
MP3, WeatherAloud, NewsAloud, StocksAloud
The package ships with two American english voices. You can purchase
other voices for an additional cost. There are other languages
available as well.
When purchasing these voices, you can get them in either 8khz or 16khz
versions. The 16khz voices are very good, but you need to have a pretty
good computer system to take full advantage of them.
Nextup also has a series of voices that are referred to as the: Cepstral
voices. These voices are very good, but you must purchase each voice
individually. There are a variety of languages available.
Purchase of these voices is done online. Your local reseller may have a
different method for getting them though.
