modifying a distribution list in OE

Hi All,
I have a distribution list made of all of the people that I share jokes
with, but is there any way of removing somebody from the list temporarily if
I get a joke from that person and don't want to send it back to them? I
notice that when I type jokes into the to field, which is the name of the
distribution list, that the word jokes just stays there instead of showing
all of the addresses that are on that distribution list.
