Hi again Bob,I am having a totally different experience. When I do a search in Notepad, WordPad or OE message editor and then press F3, JAWS does not move to the next occurrence of my search item; it just stays on the first occurrence. However, if I press Enter, just as I do in MS Word, then it does move to the next occurrence, but instead of reading the search string in context as it does in MS Word, it reads just the search string in Notepad and WordPad and doesn't read anything in OE message editor, unless I press Insert c in any of these editors, then it does then read the word in context.
Hope this helps, Don (from New Brunswick)----- Original Message ----- From: "Bobcat" <bobcat11@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Notepad, WordPad, OE message editor, and any other editing window where f3 repeats a text search.I just looked at Word to see what it does when I repeat a search with control+pagedown. Jaws says the whole line after saying the found search string, which is what I want to do with the other programs. It looks like Jaws uses a script called NextItem. Maybe I can put that script into other program script files but I don't know how that is done yet.Bob----- Original Message ----- From: "Don Moore" <donmoore@xxxxxxxxxxx>To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, June 04, 2007 6:33 PM Subject: Re: make a key do something differentBob, What applications are you talking about here? Right now, Jaws says the word found. I would like Jaws to say the word in context. How would I do this?Bob -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.comJFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfwIf you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or the way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
