left and right mouse button keys

Hey list,
I'm using Jaws 10 and Windows XP. I'm trying to access a link using
the left and mouse button keys that are on the num pad. Whenever I try to
double click on a link I'm not able to go to it. I hear a sound that takes
me back into either my Inbox or another folder that is in my personal
folder. Could you tell me what I might have done to cause such a thing.
Thanks. How is it that sometimes when someone pastes a link into an e-mail
that you can press enter and it opens that link which takes you to the web
page, and than there are other times when it just makes a noise but you
can't get to the link without having to copy and paste it into Internet
Explorer?
